In my opinion, ‘dribbling’ is a lost art in soccer. Granted people have been saying this forever, but I am seeing and hearing it more and more. Listen to the sidelines during games… Do you ever hear anyone yell, “Dribble the ball!” Nope… It’s either “pass it” or SHOOT!” Oftentimes, I am even told within our own club that our kids are dribbling too much. There are many reasons why I fight hard for players to explore their dribbling ability. Mostly, I want kids to truly experience the game, and players are most involved & engaged when they have the ball at their own feet. Yes, they will make mistakes, but we are also trying to help them learn from their mistakes. Soccer is a game of a thousand mistakes. Please, help our players become insane, dynamic dribblers! – Coach Todd
